I was raised in a pentecostal home.. filled with the spirit of GOD. My granddad was a pentecostal preacher that beleived in the name of JESUS. I was taught about the spiritual gifts of GOD. But i wasn't taught anything about the shofar. I didn't even know what a shofar was. It was in 1984 just after my granny Dora had passed away I was lying on my bed looking out my window All of a sudden I heard a sound that shook my being sound right next to my ear. A loud trumphet sounded Or what i thought was a trumphet Then I heard my name called with a loud voice. Well I was shaken. My grandad was in the other room. I ran in there and asked him if he heard that? so he said heard what? I told him what had happened... He said no I didn't hear it BUT if you hear it again you say hear I am LORD . I didn't hear it again. But you can beleive it started me on a journey. I had not yet given my life over to JESUS. But you can beleive after that I did. I knew from then on that GOD had called me.
24 years later I heard the sounding of the shofar in the natural. And it shook me again. Because then I realized this is what I had heard when I was 14 years old. I didn't know the meaning of the shofar.a wake-up call from the ALMIGHTY . He even called out my name.

The understanding of the shofar
begins with recognizing the value of the word chosen for its name. Literally translated, the Hebrew word shofar
is “a sense of incising; cutting or burning into” And it cut into my very being My spirit was awakened..when I heard it. It comes from a root word
meaning “beauty”. Obviously the sound of
the shofar was more than a mere horn blast to the ancient Hebrews for it to earn
a name that signified a cutting or burning into the heart and soul of the people
from a sense of beauty rather than harshness.
Even now, most would agree that when you hear the anointed sounds of the
shofar, it deeply penetrates both soul and spirit in a quite beautiful
fashion. .
When
you see the word trumpet in the Bible, it is usually referring to the shofar,
which is considered the trumpet of God.
It is quite important to God
since, along with the harp, the shofar is the most spoken of instrument in the
Bible. On the one hand, the harp is used
to calm and soothe the soul and spirit, whereas the shofar is usually used to
seize the attention of the people by waking up the soul and spirit, announcing
that something important is to follow.
The harp consoles the soul and spirit while the shofar prepares the soul
and spirit. It's no wonder that more and
more churches are blowing the shofar as we prepare ourselves for the return of
our Lord and Savior, Jesus. We are called to be a seperate people. We are living in the end days And GOD has called us out. I believe a generation is being called out by GOD to be HIS light in these last days. To sound his comming to a new generation of people. And to be a part of Israels return. Return to MESSIAH. When Israel cries out BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.
Below is a website that I found. about a book. Responding to the Shofar's Call. I want to respond to the shofars call.
I believe there is a shofar-like blast coming from the Throne of God, calling us to return to the simplicity of the faith as it was originally given to us. It is a call to pursue God out of love,http://www.who-is-god-really.org/shofar.html May we know that GOD has called us out to be a seperate people.
